Houston Marathon

Just wanted to post some pics from the Houston Marathon - Jan 18, 09.





I'm really proud of Tony and his sister, Nikki, for finishing their first half (13.1 miles) and full marathons (26.2 miles), respectively. Here are before, after and during. Tony is cleverly disguised as "Tim" - he used our friend Tim's race bib.

They trained with our friend Stephanie (pink skirt) and she finished this marathon in 3 hr 55 min. 5 minutes faster than the Dallas marathon she ran just 5 weeks prior! Obviously a good person to train with!

I'm really proud of all 3 of them, but esp my awesome husband!

One other cute thing - the race was televised so my Dad was with the kids watching the race at his house. Tony was on the TV for about the last 100 yds of his race and crossing the finish line - Dad let the kids call my cell, thinking that we'd be together at the finish line. When I picked up the phone they were yelling: Go Daddy!! You won the race! Yahoo - you got the trophy!
